the canvas is initially textured with stucco, a spackling compound which is very light and flexible.  After the drying period, the stuccoed surface of the canvas is applied several layers of liquefied acrylic paint giving it the final effect..
These works originate from my formal art education. All about accurate technique and the use of light and shadows with different materials giving me a different way to use the acrylics.
