the canvas is initially textured with stucco, a spackling compound which is very light and flexible. After the drying period, the stuccoed surface of the canvas is applied several layers of liquefied acrylic paint giving it the final effect..
These works on canvas can't be send rolled, they will be send already stretched with wood bars, ready to be framed.
Original Watercolors:
The watercolors are made on a special paper called Couche, thick and glossy. The figures are drawn by scratching the surface of the paper with a special needle. Then the surface is painted and whipped with a sponge giving its final effect like an old engrave.
These works will be shipped between card boards and wrapped in a protective plastic.
What is Giclee?:
Giclée reproductions on archival watercolor paper and canvas extend an artist's creative options and allow digital creators a method of output that is unparalleled. This highest quality printing is made affordable for a collector because each limited edition print is printed on demand.
My watercolor paintings are reproduced using the Giclee printing process because it accurately duplicates the luminous quality of my watercolor washes. Each print is signed and numbered.
A Giclée print is the highest quality print available today. The word Giclée is a French word meaning 'to squirt'. The process is digital printmaking with a printer that uses minute droplets of archival ink to create prints that cannot be duplicated by other printing techniques. Because there is no visible dot screen pattern the resulting image has all of the subtle tonalities of the original art. Each dot may have over 4 billion possible colors! This produces exceptional museum quality prints.
Also in stock giclee prints on stretched canvas, This high quality canvas are durable and waterproof , protected with a varnish coat.
